The Spring Discipleship Training School (DTS) in YWAM Skien is a 5 month adventure diving deeper into what it means to be a disciple as you get to know God better and travel to exciting places together with new friends from all over the world. Our greatest desire is that you will experience the love of God in such a way that you will never be the same again, and that you will discover more of His purpose for your life.

DTS TIMELINE
January - June
Spring DTS consists of three months of community living and lectures in our beautiful city of Skien, Norway. During this time, you will join our mission trip to Serbia, visit a historic Biblical region, all before going on an outreach to the nations.
Lecture
DTS begins in Norway with 3 months of lecture, learning from teachers from all over the world. Teaching is focused on taking you deeper in knowing God and equipping you to make him known. Every week we have a new topic to dive deeper into together with a teacher that is passionate about the topic and has real life experience to share. Topics will be Bible, missions, relationships, Biblical worldview, God’s character and many more. We learn in a classroom setting but also have a good balance of activities every day such as practical work, worship and intercession for the nations. Our base is located in the middle of a small city but is also close to nature so there are many possibilities to enjoy life with your new DTS friends here!
January - April
Outreach
Time to put everything we’ve learning into practice! We spend 8 weeks in the nations, on a mission to fulfill the Great Commission and to see God’s kingdom come. This outreach will not be the regular tourist experience, but a unique opportunity to go to places most people don’t go to and meet the local people.
But why?
We go on outreach to show God’s love to people through words and action. We have the simple belief that God can use anyone, experienced or inexperienced, to show His heart and be His hands to anyone who needs Him. Our experience is also that in giving we receive, and in going we keep on growing.

Serbia Mini outreach
Before going on outreach, we will travel with the DTS to a region with real Biblical history! Over the past years, we have brought the DTS to different regions exploring locations mentioned in the Bible. Do you want the Bible to really come alive for you? Spring DTS is for you.
The last few years we have brought the Spring DTS along with many others to the Balkans, and have seen God move! This is our third year taking a group to Serbia and we are very excited to see what the Lord will do. What if you could lead someone to Jesus? What if we could be a part of seeing the Balkans coming one step closer to Him?

*Included in the price: All accommodation, food, and travel during the lecture phase and outreach phase, including travels during DTS.
Not included: Potential costs for necessary vaccines and visa for outreach. This amount can be anywhere between 0 and 7000 NOK, depending on the outreach location and which vaccines you already have. You need your own travel insurance. Flights to and from Norway at the beginning and the end of DTS are not included. We also recommend that you have spare money to use during DTS.
